Our MISSION

Our mission for Mengineering® is simple; create opportunities for fathers* and sons to interact and mix, spend quality time together, try new things, learn new skills, utilise/employ positive communication and social skills and strengthen relationships.

That's it!

WHO WILL BENEFIT

Mengineering® will work with fathers and sons living within the Canberra region.

Father involvement is positively linked with children’s overall life satisfaction, wellbeing and mental health. In particular, sons whose fathers are involved are more likely to feel connected to them, are better able to handle new and unfamiliar situations, can manage stressful situations, and are more supported and eager to explore their environment.

"The relationship between a father and a son can be expressed as perhaps the most important relationship that a man endures in his lifetime. This is the relationship that influences a man and all other relationships that a man has throughout his life. A strong father figure is important for a man to be able to mature into a man of strong character and a respectable citizen"

A few things we love doing.

Mengineering in Schools

With the support of interested and invested teachers and fathers, Mengineering® assists school communities to create and host events for Fathers & Sons to interact.

Father & Son Superhero Cartooning Workshops

Primary School supported 1.5-hour workshop where fathers & sons discuss, decide and draw their superheroes with the expert guidance and tutorage from our great mate Andrew Hore from www.funnyworksoz.com

Father & Son Retreats

We offer father & son retreats in partnership with schools, community organisations and companies.

Mengineering Community of Practice

The Mengineering® Community of Practice (MCoP) aims to support fathers strengthen the bond between them and their sons, help navigate challenges with resilience and integrity, and create lasting memories and relationships that enrich their lives.
